Outreach and Volunteer Opportunities

University of Chicago graduate students have pride for their work and science education. They enjoy reaching out to community partners and local schools. By engaging with the public, our students improve their communication and teaching skills. Beyond gaining great experience, participating in outreach activities increases the probability they receive competitive national grants.  Some activities include volunteering in science classrooms, tutoring school-age children and working as demonstrators at the many amazing Chicago area museums.
