Olivia Gray, a graduate student in the Department of Human Genetics, was awarded an NIH F31 Fellowship. The purpose of Olivia's project is to dissect the genetic mechanism and functional consequences of high altitude adaptation in Tibetans. This project aims to  shed light on the effects of selection on regulatory DNA and explore the ways in which humans have evolved to cope with hypoxia.
